Beginnings & present.
Founded in 2025 by three passionate DKU students who had engaged with Durham's DIIG chapter, the Duke Impact Investing Group has grown into a premier student-run, multi-departmental organization. We work in close collaboration with Duke, Durham, to provide international consulting, and our location outside Shanghai, China, affords us opportunities and insights unavailable to the rest of the world.
DKU was established with a simple goal in mind: bridge the gap between the East and West, China and America. At DIIG, we hope to take this further. By standing on the bridge between worlds, we offer both Chinese and international organizations unique and strategic insights generally unavailable elsewhere. To accomplish this, we've built a dynamic professional community that fosters future leaders and supports impactful causes through consulting, business development, and data work.
We take advantage of DKU's passionate student body by becoming the only fully student-led consulting group on campus. This lets us enlist any student qualified enough to do the work, and passionate enough to drive impact.
We're not a club that meets once a month. We're a working organization with real clients, real deadlines, and real deliverables, run entirely by DKU students who hold each other to a professional bar.
